All you need to know about teaching and creating a solid arm balance practice

We believe in arming coaches with a solid arm balance understanding to be able to teach EVERYONE arm balancing. We do this by teaching coaches (you) how to deconstruct arm balance poses and create a safe step-by-step process to build the physical structure of your students - regardless of their limitations, and to be “arm balance ready”.

This process just happens to promote rapid arm balance progress.

The Curriculum

The Controlled Strength™ Coaching Certification incorporates arm balance movement sequences with a strong emphasis on building strength and flexibility, through conditioning and skill work.

This 80 hr Level 1 Coaching Certification, held over four weekends is an extensive exploration into practical applications of the Controlled Strength™ conditioning methods and skill work, that enable effortless transitions into arm balances.

Upon completion, selected practitioners will have the opportunity to join our team of exceptional coaches.


COURSE CONTENT

  • CS Foundations™ - foundation of basic inversions and arm balance poses and transitions.

  • Alignment - teaching and adjustment of level 1 arm balances and transitions.

  • Movement - strength and mobility conditioning for accelerated progress arm balances.

  • Effective usage of props and Equipment.

  • Anatomy - functional anatomy in arm balances. How to use the body intelligently to avoid overuse, compensation and injuries.

  • Dealing with mindset of practitioners - help your practitioners overcome the fears that affect their arm balance practice.

  • Sequencing - structuring effective and intelligent arm balance sequences and programs incorporating drills and FLOW.
